POLICE

* Westminster: An employee of the Direct To You gas station on East George Street told city police that someone entered the business Wednesday and stole property valued at $150.

A resident of East Main Street told city police that someone entered his auto and stole property of undetermined value while it was parked near his house Monday.

Donald I. Dell, president of the county commissioners, told state police that nine of his large roadside election signs were stolen or damaged between Sept. 7 and Sept. 21. Mr. Dell said the signs measured 4 feet by 8 feet and were valued at a total of $360.

FIRE

* Westminster: Westminster and Reese fought a house fire in the 700 block of Gist Road at 11:54 p.m. Wednesday. Units were out for 30 minutes.
