Polimericks

September 22, 1994|By George Neff Lucas

Clinton hoped that when Congress

came back

Some of Bill's bills might yet get

on track;

But he may have grown fonder

Of its absence out yonder --

There's much to be said for gridlack.

* * *

Re: unauthorized aircraft descents;

To become more secure,

The White House for sure

Needs only a very high fence.

* * *

Republicans think they can snatch

Congressional seats by the batch;

But it's rash politics

To count off-year chicks

Before any candidates hatch.

* * *

A fellow we well-nigh forgot

Again wears his forget-me-not;

He's itching to go

But whither Perot?

United We Stand but for what?
