Power cut to parts of Cranberry Mall

Cranberry Mall shoppers were in the dark yesterday after workers who are enlarging the theater to add screens cut two wires supplying power to the Westminster mall.

Power to many of the businesses went out about 2 p.m. No other utilities were affected, said Donna Leanos, Cranberry's general manager.

Mall officials expected service to be restored in the evening.

"It hit various parts of the mall, not just one quadrant," Ms. Leanos said. "We're just hanging in there until BGE splices the wires and gets us running again."
