Atlanta Braves -- Announced a four-year working agreement with Eugene of the Northwest League.

Boston Red Sox -- Named OF Derek Vinyard as the player to be named to complete their trade with the Montreal Expos for OF Glenn Murray and P Tim Smith as the player to be named in their trade with the Seattle Mariners for OF Lee Tinsley.

Colorado Rockies -- Announced a two-year working agreement with Salem of the Carolina League.

Kansas City Royals -- Fired manager Hal McRae.

Minnesota Twins -- Named Bill Smith assistant general manager and vice president.

Toronto Blue Jays -- Extended their working agreement with Syracuse of the International League and Knoxville of the Southern League for four years and with Hagerstown of the South Atlantic League and Medicine Hat of the Pioneer League for two years.

USA Baseball -- Named Louisiana State coach Skip Bertman coach of the 1995 and 1996 USA Baseball Teams.

Basketball

Phoenix Suns -- Waived F Jerrod Mustaf (Maryland). Signed F Antonio Lang to a three-year contract.

Colleges

NCAA -- Restored the eligibility of five Florida State football players. LB Derrick Brooks and G Marcus Long were freed to play tomorrow; G Patrick McNeil, OT Forrest Conoly and TB Tiger McMillon remain on suspension.

Northeastern -- Named Ken Dempsey men's assistant basketball coach.

Salisbury State -- Named Mary Jo Tantalo men's and women's swimming coach.

Southeast Missouri -- Named Alan Eads women's assistant basketball coach.

Towson State -- Chad Scott was named ECAC Division I-AA Defensive Player of the Week.

Cleveland Browns -- Released OL Carlson Leomiti and RB Marcus Lee from the practice squad. Signed LB P. J. Killian to the practice squad.

San Francisco 49ers -- Waived CB Adrian Hardy and DT Artie Smith. Signed DB Deion Sanders and DE Charles Mann.

Anaheim Mighty Ducks -- Announced the retirement of D Anatoli Fedotov.

Buffalo Sabres -- Released Larry Playfair, director of corporate relations; Randy Scott, director of sales and marketing; and Jeffrey Pickel, director of event sales.

New York Islanders -- Agreed to terms with C Chris Marinucci. Assigned G Milan Hnilcka to Denver of the International Hockey League.
