Ringer captures MAPGA Northern

September 13, 1994|By From Staff Reports

Larry Ringer, playing in the final group of the day, had a 27-hole score of par 108, and won the annual Middle Atlantic PGA Northern Chapter championship by two strokes yesterday at Sparrows Point Country Club.

Ringer, head professional at the Country Club at Woodmore, had two birdies and two bogeys.

Until Ringer -- who did not know how he stood with the field until his 27th green -- checked in, Bob Bowes of Wicomico Shores, who played a lot of his early golf at the course, and David Quelland were tied for the lead at 110.
