Gunman robs Jessup McDonald's

County police are looking for a man who held up a fast food restaurant in Jessup Saturday.

The man entered the McDonald's in the 7800 block of Pocomoke Drive about 9:15 p.m., walked around the service counter into an office, displayed a semiautomatic handgun and demanded money from employees, police said.

The man forced two of the workers to the floor, grabbed the cash and fled.

The robber was described as black, in his mid-20s, about 6 feet tall, weighing 190 pounds, with a black mustache or goatee.

He wore a white sweat suit, police said.

Laurel home raided; 2 men are arrested

Two men were arrested on drug charges after officers raided a Laurel home Friday.

About 10:10 p.m. Friday, officers from the Street Drug Section served a search and seizure warrant in the 9300 block of All Saints Road based on tips from sources, police said.

Detectives found small amounts of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Oliver Wendell Giddings, 46, who lives at the address, and Dwayne Lawrence Hamlett, 37, of the 1000 block of W. Fayette St., Baltimore, were charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both men were released on personal recognizance early Saturday, a District Court commissioner said.

* Jessup: 8000 block of Dorsey Run Road: Three Hondas -- a beige, 1994 Accord, a black 1995 Civic and a blue 1994 Prelude -- were reported stolen from Elite Auto Haus last Wednesday.

* Scaggsville: 10700 block of Glen Hannah Drive: A green 1993 Mazda RX7 with Maryland tags AYF157 was stolen Thursday, police said.
