Dr. Byung Hoon Soh

Psychiatrist

Dr. Byung Hoon Soh, a psychiatrist at Springfield Hospital Center for 22 years, died Sunday of cancer at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

He was 55 and lived in Reisterstown.

The native of South Korea was a 1963 graduate of the Korea University medical school in Seoul. He served in the South Korean Army before coming to the United States in 1967. He served an internship and residency in Connecticut before moving to Baltimore and taking the post at Springfield.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Lemmon-Mitchell-Wiedefeld Home, 10 W. Padonia Road, Timonium.

He is survived by his wife, the former Jennifer Jungwha Lee; three sons, Kenneth Soh of Houston and Eugene and Dennis Soh of Reisterstown; a daughter, Ann Soh of Reisterstown; four brothers, Byung Chae Soh and Byung Chun Soh, both of the Baltimore area, Byung Yup Soh of New York City and Byung Seuck Soh of Seoul; and seven sisters, Jung Hee Lee of the Baltimore area, Jung Soon Park and Jung Sim Yoon, both of New York City, Jung Ran Lee of Chicago, Byung Soon Im and Kaesun Kim, both of Seoul, and Byung Nam Lee of Chungju, South Korea.
