New positions

* Washington Gas announced the election of James H. DeGraffenreidt Jr. as president and chief operating officer and Joseph M. Schepis as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

* Cambridge Wire Cloth Co. elected Carol H. Sinclair as treasurer and chose Gordy E. Jones vice president of sales/marketing, Christopher D. Esterson engineering manager, Barry S. McInturff manager sales administration, and Kim Ritten and J. Randall Sessoms as assistant managers.

* McCormick & Co. has named Kathryn Q. Carolan senior product manager, marketing, of the McCormick Ingredients unit.

* WMAR-TV, NewsChannel 2, announced that Peter Leimbach joined the station as research director and Brenda Mustian as administrative assistant. Sandra Pinckney was chosen for a news anchor position and Deborah Sherman as a general assignment reporter. Also joining the TV2 news team: Peter Kulsziski, videographer; Jefferson Slade, part-time editor; and Joe Hammann, sports producer.
