Thieves who broke into a printing business Tuesday morning in the 1100 block of Benfield Blvd. stole $1,800 worth of coins, county police said.
A Western District officer went to Friendship Creative Printers, which is in an office suite, when an alarm sounded shortly after 6 a.m. He found the glass front door broken, but no one was inside, police said.
The thieves ransacked the office, took the coins and escaped through the front door. The officer found a trail of coins that led around the building to the back parking lot, police said.
A search of the area failed to turn up any suspects.
