ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A woman was walking in the 2600 block of Kirk Ave. Wednesday night when a gunman robbed her of a gold rope chain valued at $500.

BURGLARY/ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- When a resident of the 2800 block of Kennedy Ave. arrived home Wednesday night, a man who had entered through an unlocked front door hit him with a stick and then fled.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A 9-year-old boy was riding his bike in the 3000 block of Mayfield Ave. Wednesday when an older youth knocked him to the ground and stole the bike, valued at $100.

THEFT: Central District -- A 48-year-old homeless woman was sleeping on a park bench in the 400 block of E. Fayette St. Tuesday when a man stole a bag containing her clothing and medicine.

THEFT: Central District -- A toolbox and various power tools, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen from a 1994 Ford while it was parked in the 400 block of W. Redwood St.

ASSAULT: Northern District -- Police were seeking a man who assaulted his girlfriend with a screwdriver during an incident Wednesday in her home in the 4200 block of York Road. The woman suffered cuts on her leg and neck but refused medical treatment.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A TV, videocassette recorder, compact disc player and several compact discs, all valued at $900, were stolen Wednesday from an apartment in the 2600 block of N. Calvert St.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1993 Toyota Corolla with Maryland tags BFR 181 was stolen from the 100 block of W. 26th St. Wednesday.

RAPE: Western District -- A resident of the 300 block of S. Vincent St. reported that she was in an alley behind the 1900 block of Edmondson Ave. Tuesday afternoon when she was attacked by three women who pushed her to the pavement and held her there while five men raped her. After her attackers fled, the woman drove to Mercy Medical Center, where she received treatment after reporting the incident to police.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY TRY: Towson Precinct -- Police were seeking a man who attempted to rob the Crown service station in the 1600 block of E. Joppa Road Tuesday morning by telling an employee that the object he had placed in the cash slot was a bomb. When the employee backed away and refused to give the man any money, the man fled. Police said the "bomb" was a white sock filled with rocks.

ARSON: Cockeysville Precinct -- Someone set fire to a 1987 Mercury Grand Marquis while it was parked in the 3100 block of Lord Byron Lane Wednesday morning.
