On the heels of the success of its 1994 Summer Track Series, the Baltimore Road Runners Club will sponsor a cross country grand prix series this fall.

Ed Harte, who served as director of the summer series with Chris Cucuzzella, will direct the fall program with Cucuzzella.

"We had a lot of success with the summer track series; we consistently had 60 people there," Harte said Sunday. "Cross country is different because you don't have the sprinters, but we want to get a lot of different people involved."

Enrollment in the series is $6. For those wanting to run individual meets, the first three are free and the second three are $2 apiece. Dates, places, distances and times for meets:

* Saturday, McDonogh, 5K, 9 a.m.

* Sept. 10, Baybrook Park, Brooklyn, 3 miles, 10 a.m.

* Oct. 15, McDonogh, 5 miles, 8:30 a.m.
