Teen-ager robbed at Dobbin Center

A 17-year-old Harmans boy was robbed at gunpoint Saturday afternoon after he was approached by two men at Dobbin Center in Owen Brown, Howard County police said.

About 4:45 p.m. Saturday, police said, the victim was walking toward the rear of the shopping center in the 6400 block of Dobbin Road when two men, one with a handgun, confronted him and demanded money.

The victim turned over cash, and then the two robbers ran away. No injuries were reported, police said.

Both men were described as black, about 18 to 19 years old and 5 feet, 10 inches tall. The man with the gun, who wore blue jeans and a black T-shirt, weighed about 180 pounds. The second suspect, who wore a white polo shirt and dark blue pants, weighed about 215 pounds, police said.
