POLICE

* Westminster: A resident of Old New Windsor Road reported that someone broke into his auto and stole items from it while it was parked near his home on Wednesday. He estimated the loss at $370.

An employee of the Shell gas station on Route 140 at Malcolm Drive told city police that a customer pumped gasoline into his car and left without paying on Wednesday. The loss was $10.

FIRE

* Silver Run: Pleasant Valley and Westminster responded to investigate a fire alarm sounding in a building on Littlerstown Pike at 6:44 p.m. Thursday. Units were canceled after two minutes.

* Mayberry: Pleasant Valley was dispatched to an auto fire on E. Mayberry Road at 9:02 p.m. Thursday. Units were out for 30 minutes.

* Westminster: Westminster investigated a fire alarm sounding in a building in the 300 block of Gorsuch Road at 10:39 a.m. Friday. Units were out for 27 minutes.

Westminster, Reese, Pleasant Valley and Manchester responded to an apartment fire in the first block of Wimert Avenue at 4:50 p.m. Thursday. Units were out for 28 minutes.

Westminster and Reese investigated a fire alarm sounding in a building in the 200 block of E. Green Street at 12:28 p.m. Thursday. Units were out for 18 minutes.
