49ers 20, Broncos 3

August 13, 1994

SAN FRANCISCO -- Steve Young completed seven of 10 passes for 74 yards in a quarter of play, including his first scoring pass of the preseason, to lead San Francisco.

Denver's John Elway hit three of nine passes for 23 yards, and Richard Dent and Ken Norton, two of the 49ers' defensive free-agent acquisitions, turned in strong efforts.

An interested spectator was free-agent cornerback Deion Sanders, who didn't have to be with the Cincinnati Reds because of the baseball strike. He watched in a stadium suite with 49ers president Carmen Policy. San Francisco is among the teams interested in Sanders.
