Odenton man charged after break-in at home

August 10, 1994

A 35-year-old Odenton man suffered minor scrapes after he allegedly tried to attack a Carver Road resident Monday, police said.

Gary William Stevens of the 1400 block of Jackson Road was charged with burglary, breaking and entering and assault.

Police said a man wearing dark clothing and with a pair of pliers in his back pocket broke a window and entered a woman's home about 4 a.m., went into the master bedroom and lunged at the woman and her houseguest, who were in bed at the time. The houseguest detained the man until police arrived.
