PASADENA — Man fatally crashes head-on into car

PASADENA -- A 27-year-old man died when the car he was driving crashed head-on into a parked car early yesterday, Anne Arundel County police said.

The driver, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was driving south on Hickory Point Road near Thies Drive shortly before 2 a.m. when he crossed the center line and hit the car parked on the northbound side.

The cause of the accident remained under investigation.

Severn woman, 18, is stabbed at party


SEVERN -- An 18-year-old Severn woman was listed in good condition at North Arundel Hospital yesterday after being stabbed in the stomach and cheek while attending a neighbor's party late Friday night.

The victim, Dorothy M. Coleman of the 1800 block of Meade Circle Road, told county police that a woman she did not know approached her and started an argument.

After the argument, the woman left the party but returned with a knife and stabbed the victim, police said.

Melinda Miro, also 18, of the 9400 block of Fens Hollow in the Howard County section of Laurel, was charged with assault with intent to maim, police said.

2 men are victims of robbery, carjacking


GLEN BURNIE -- Two men were robbed at gunpoint and their car was stolen early yesterday by three men outside a bar in

Glen Burnie, county police said.

A 20-year-old Glen Burnie man told police he and another man had been sitting in his car in the 7300 block of Furnace Branch Road at 1:30 a.m. when the trio approached.

Two of the men, armed with handguns, ordered them out of the car and took their cash, watches and rings before driving away in another car.

The third bandit fled in the 20-year-old's car, the victims told police.

Both vehicles were seen a short time later on the Baltimore Beltway, where police pursued them and managed to stop the Glen Burnie man's car.

Sean L. Linton Sr., 24, of the 5300 block of Lantern Court in Southwest Baltimore, was arrested and charged with carjacking and armed robbery, police said.
