* TRESPASSING/ARREST: Central District -- A 41-year-old man with no fixed address was charged with trespassing and walking on the highway after an officer chased him on foot from the 2400 block of Callow Ave. to the west side of the Jones Falls Expressway near the North Avenue exit yesterday afternoon. Despite an officer's attempt to hold onto the man's 180-pound body, the man jumped 24 feet down to the expressway and ran across the traffic lanes before he was arrested on North Avenue, police said.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- The garage of a home in the first block of Bellemore Road was broken into through a window early Saturday. A lawn mower and other garden tools were taken.

* SHOOTINGS: Western District -- Shootings at 12:15 a.m. yesterday left two men in serious but stable condition at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Arkar Braxton, 25, of the 600 block of Radnor Ave. was shot in the lower body and back in the 1600 block of Moreland Ave. Kevin Watson, 20, of the 10000 block of Ashburton St. ran around the corner to the 2400 block of Baker St. and was shot in the right leg and wrist.

* THEFT FROM AUTO: Eastern District -- Tennis shoes, a radar detector and $300 in cash were taken from a 1994 Subaru in the 900 block of Homewood Ave. about 1 a.m. yesterday. Police said there was no sign of forced entry.


* AUTO THEFT: Garrison Precinct -- A blue 1991 Honda Accord with Maryland tags XDR 266 was stolen from the 9800 block of Bridle Brook Drive in Randallstown Friday night.

* BURGLARY: Towson Precinct -- A book, shoes and sweater with a combined value of $118 were stolen from a residence in the 600 block of Chestnut Ave. Friday night.

* HANDGUN VIOLATION: North Point Precinct -- Police arrested a 39-year-old Edgemere man on weapon charges at 12:30 a.m. yesterday after a dispute with neighbors in the 2900 block of Wells Ave.

* ASSAULT: Woodlawn Precinct -- A 39-year-old Baltimore man was stabbed near the right shoulder about 1:30 a.m. yesterday during a family reunion in the first block of Greenberry Road. The victim was released after treatment at Sinai Hospital. His 44-year-old brother was arrested, police said.
