American League -- Upheld the five-game suspension of Boston Red Sox manager Butch Hobson for making physical contact with the umpires during a game June 28.

Chicago Cubs -- Reinstated P Jessie Hollins to the active roster and optioned him to Single-A Daytona.

Florida Marlins -- Activated IF Rich Renteria from the 15-day DL. Sent the contract of P Jeff Mutis outright to Triple-A Edmonton. Activated P Mike Myers from the 15-day DL and optioned him to Edmonton. Moved P Charlie Hough from the 15-day to the 60-day DL.

Basketball

Chicago Bulls -- Agreed to terms with F Toni Kukoc on a six-year contract.

Miami Heat -- Signed C Matt Geiger to a multi-year contract.

Milwaukee Bucks -- Signed F Marty Conlon to a two-year contract.

Minnesota Timberwolves -- Announced the sale of the team to businessman Glen Taylor, pending NBA approval.

San Antonio Spurs -- Named Larry Alexander vice president for administration and communications. Promoted Tom James, media services manager, to director of media services.

Seattle SuperSonics -- Reached agreement with Tacoma, Wash., on a contract for the team to play its 1994-95 season at the Tacoma Dome.

College

Cal-Irvine -- Announced that Rod Baker will remain as men's basketball coach through the 1996-97 season.

Football

New Orleans Saints -- Signed DB Carl Lee to a two-year contract.

Hockey

Detroit Red Wings -- Signed former Washington Capitals D Bob Rouse to a multi-year contract.

Pittsburgh Penguins -- Signed C Domenic Pittis to a four-year contract.

Winnipeg Jets -- Named Terry Simpson assistant coach.
