Catherine LaBonte Heinze, a retired clerk and volunteer, died Sunday of heart failure at the Augsburg Lutheran Home. She was 92.

Mrs. Heinze, a native of Baltimore, worked 45 years as a clerk for Maryland Casualty Co., and from 1967 until 1972 as a clerk for the city government.

After the 1972 death of her husband, Ernest E. Heinze, a retired salesman for the International Harvester Co., she became a clerical volunteer for Maryland General Hospital. She had logged 8,442 hours there by 1988, the year she moved with her sister to the Augsburg Lutheran Village in the Villa Nova section of Baltimore County.

Mrs. Heinze was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church and in the 1960s joined the Open Bible Tabernacle on Harford Road,

Services were planned for 11 a.m. today at the Leonard J. Ruck Funeral Home, 5305 Harford Road, Baltimore. Mrs. Heinze is survived by several nephews and nieces.
