Two Harford County brothers have been charged with assault with intent to murder and assault and battery in the pounding of two men and a woman on their heads with a hammer Sunday night, a sheriff's spokesman said.

Robert Hensley, 32, and Glenn Hensley, 33, of the 3000 block of Ward Road in Street, were held in the Harford County Detention Center on $150,000 bond each.

Sheriff's investigators alleged that the brothers went to a mobile home in the 3100 block of Sandy Hook Road in Street before 9 p.m. Sunday and got into an "altercation" with Donald J. Cochran, 41, of that address, and Michele L. Wright, 22, of the 100 block of Donzen Drive in Bel Air.

Deputy 1st Class DeWayne Curry, the spokesman, said Mr. Cochran and Ms. Wright were repeatedly struck with a hammer.

After leaving the trailer, the brothers allegedly found Roger L. Weitherow, 49, of the 3800 block of Conowingo Road. One of the brothers struck Mr. Weitherow in the head and pulled him out of the vehicle, Deputy Curry said.
