Rene Manzoor Ahmed, 32, of Timonium, told police he had rung the house's doorbell about 1 a.m. when a man approached him. The man pulled out a small handgun and demanded money. As he started to search Mr. Ahmed, a resident of the house opened the door, which frightened the suspect and caused him to run before the victim had handed over any money, police said.
