July 25, 1994

A 42-year-old Woodbine resident was arrested and charged with indecent exposure after a woman told police that a man exposed himself to her and other passing motorists in Glenelg Thursday, Howard County police said.

Darrell Shipley of the 7400 block of Pickett Road was released on personal recognizance by a District Court commissioner Thursday. Mr. Shipley was charged with multiple counts of indecent exposure.

About 5 p.m. Thursday, Howard police officers responded to a report of indecent exposure on Jennings Chapel Road near Howard Chapel Road in Glenelg.

A woman told police that a man in a black Dodge Daytona parked on the side of the road raised himself in the driver's seat to expose himself. He appeared to be nude, said police #i spokesman Sgt. Steve Keller.

Officers responding to the call saw the vehicle leaving the area and wrote down its license tag number.

State police from Westminster accompanied Howard authorities to the man's address, where they waited outside his home until he arrived minutes later, Sergeant Keller said. The man was clothed, the sergeant said.
