POLICE

* Westminster: An official of Kmart on Englar Road reported a theft of $55 to city police Sunday.

A city official told Westminster police Friday that a light on the city playground's basketball court had been damaged. The unit was valued at $700.

An employee of C. J. Miller told police that items valued at $400 were removed from his vehicle while it was parked on Pennsylvania Avenue.

FIRE

* Westminster: Firefighters from the Westminster, Reese, Pleasant Valley and Manchester stations responded to a fire alarm in the 400 block of N. Center St. at 3:10 a.m. yesterday. They were out for an hour.
