Rotary Club to give $7,000 to 7 groups

The Sunrise Rotary Club of Ellicott City will give $7,000 to human services organizations in Howard County this year. The recipients include the Howard County Sexual Assault Center, Help Network, Howard County Conflict Mediation Center, Bushy Park Elementary School, National Pike District of the Boy Scouts of America, Maryland National Guard Foundation and the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.

The contributions will be awarded during a ceremony tomorrow during the meeting that begins at 7:15 a.m. in Tersiguel's French Country Restaurant, 8239 Main St., Ellicott City.

* Ellicott City: 9600 block of Old Annapolis Road: Vandals broke the window of a Ford bus owned by the Harvester Baptist Church Sunday. A similar incident occurred on the bus two weeks earlier, police said.

3100 block of West Springs Drive: Someone attempted to steal a 1993 Yamaha FCR 600 motorcycle by tampering with its ignition Tuesday, police said.
