SHOOTING: Northeastern District -- A 28-year-old resident of the 900 block of N. Chapel St. was shot in the back of the head Sunday night by an unknown assailant while the victim and another man sat inside a car outside a convenience store in the 4500 block of Frankford Ave. At least four shots were fired. Following the shooting, the men drove to Erdman Avenue and Federal Street, where they flagged down a passing police officer. The wounded man was taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital and is listed in good condition.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A lawn edger valued at $300 was stolen from a garage in the 1700 block of E. 33rd St. Sunday.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Property valued at $837 was stolen from a house in the 1600 block of Sherwood Ave. over the weekend.

RAPE: Northwestern District -- Police were seeking a man who entered a house in the 5600 block of Wayne Ave. Sunday and raped the occupant. Police said the suspect fits the description of a man who raped another occupant earlier.

STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A black 1990 Honda with Maryland tags WBN 897 was stolen Sunday from the 6700 block of Reisterstown Road.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 1900 block of Walbrook Ave. was in the 3500 block of Woodland Ave. Saturday when a gunman robbed him of cash and property, all valued at $600.

THEFT: Central District -- A man was standing in the 400 block of Water St. Sunday night when someone bumped into him and stole his wallet from a pocket. The wallet contained a small sum of money, military ID, personal papers and cards.

THEFT: Central District -- Someone entered a car parked in the 1000 block of Cathedral St. Sunday night and stole a 35 mm camera and other property.

Baltimore County

THEFT: White Marsh Precinct -- A man entered the McDonald's restaurant in the 6300 block of Kenwood Ave. Sunday and stole a woman's purse containing cash and property, all of unknown value. As the man was fleeing across the restaurant parking lot, he was pursued by a witness who recovered the purse when the thief dropped it.

ROBBERY: Parkville Precinct -- A resident of the 8900 block of Waltham Woods Road was in the foyer of his apartment building early Sunday morning when two men robbed him of more than $100 and his keys. The two men reportedly followed the victim from a rear parking lot. Police said the victim did not report the robbery until nearly 12 hours later.

KIDNAP TRY: Towson Precinct -- A northeast city woman was walking near Perring Parkway and Putty Hill Avenue Saturday night when a man attempted to force her into his car. When the woman kicked the man several times, he released his grip and drove away.
