Pediatricians honored for performance

The pediatric office of Drs. Dannenfelzer, Litwak & Chasnow in Abingdon was presented with the Delivery Site of the Quarter award by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maryland.

The doctors are members of the FreeState Health Plan network, a subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maryland.

The award is presented to the site that had top performance and highest customer satisfaction during the past quarter.

Centers are evaluated on criteria that includes waiting times for scheduling appointments and seeing physicians, overall member satisfaction and site appearance.

Realtors group picks top associates

Nancy Orr of O'Conor, Piper & Flynn's Bel Air-Fallston office and Donna Higgins of the firm's Bel Air-Abingdon office have received awards from the Harford County Association of Realtors.

Ms. Orr, a 15-year veteran with O'Conor, Piper & Flynn Realtors, was named the 1994 Distinguished Sales Associate of the Year.

Award recipients are selected based on business accomplishments, participation in local, state and national board activities, professional knowledge and civic activities.

Ms. Orr, a Bel Air resident, also holds GRI and CRS designations and is a volunteer for the Harford County Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Higgins, a Joppatowne resident, was named Realtor of the Year, a award given for community service, committee involvement with state Realtor associations and service to local boards of Realtors.

With 12 years experience in the real estate industry, Ms. Higgins is the dean of the Realtors Institute of Maryland and has Graduate, Realtors' Institute and Certified Residential Specialist accreditations, and an associate broker's license.

$1 million group names lifetime member

Deborah Argo, a sales associate and associate broker at Century 21 Diana Realty Inc. in Bel Air, has been named a lifetime member of the Harford County Realtors $1 Million Association.

Ms. Argo, a Fallston resident, has nine years of experience in real estate. She specializes in residential real estate and relocation. She holds Graduate, Realtor's Institute and Certified Residential Specialist designations.

Before her real estate career, Ms. Argo was in the financial services field. She is a member of the Harford County Association of Realtors.

Business group to meet to endorse candidates

The Harford Business for Responsible Government group will endorse candidates for the September primary election at a general membership breakfast meeting scheduled for 8 a.m. Aug. 11 at Logo's Restaurant in Fallston.

Candidates for Harford County's elective offices are being interviewed by panels of chamber members throughout July.

Recommendations and endorsements of candidates in contested races will be made at the breakfast meeting.

A second round of recommendations will be made in September for the November general election.
