DOUBLE SHOOTING: Eastern District -- Two men were shot and a bicyclist was injured when at least two gunmen fired several shots at a car in the 2000 block of E. Hoffman St. Tuesday. The driver and his passenger were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds to the upper body. Their conditions were listed as serious. The biker was seriously injured when he was thrown onto the hood of the car when it struck him after going out of control and crashing near the intersection with Washington Street. He sustained injuries to his upper body and head. The gunmen escaped and police knew of no motive for the shootings.

PURSE SNATCH: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 4000 block of Brookhill Road was in the 3400 block of W. Northern Parkway Tuesday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $500.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 5400 block of Denmore Ave. Tuesday and stole $200.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 2300 block of Edmondson Ave. Monday and stole a 35mm camera valued at more than $160.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A 22-year-old woman was in the 700 block of Cumberland St. Monday when a man robbed her of nearly $300.

ARMED ROBBERY: Western District -- A gunman robbed a 25-year-old woman of two rings, a necklace and a set of earrings, all valued at $400, in the 2300 block of N. Dukeland St. Monday.

MISSING MAN: North Point Precinct -- Police were searching for Vernon Dehaven, 71, a resident of the Meridian nursing center in the 7200 block of German Hill Road, who was last seen walking away from the center Tuesday evening. Police said Mr. Dehaven suffers from Alzheimer's disease and is under medication. He is white, 5-feet, 9-inches tall, weighs 155 pounds and has blue eyes and gray hair. When last seen, he was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue pants and a blue baseball cap. Anyone knowing the man's whereabouts is urged to call the precinct at 887-7320.

ROBBERY: Essex Precinct -- A man robbed the Stemmers Run nTC Shell station in the 1600 block of Eastern Boulevard of an undisclosed sum of money Tuesday. After entering the station around 8 a.m., the man pushed an employee aside before opening the cash register and taking the money.

STOLEN VEHICLE: Towson Precinct -- A maroon 1989 Jeep Cherokee with Maryland vanity tags SKI SNO was stolen from the garage at the Sheraton North of Baltimore in the 900 block of Dulaney Valley Road Tuesday.

STOLEN VEHICLE: Cockeysville Precinct -- A burgundy and silver 1994 Mercury van with Maryland tags ABL 736 and valued at $26,000 was stolen Tuesday from the 9500 block of Deerco Road.
