POLICE

* Westminster: A resident of Pennsylvania Avenue reported to city police someone broke into the toolbox in his vehicle and stole an assortment of tools Wednesday. He estimated the loss at $352.

An employee of Thunderhead Bowling Lanes told city police someone pried open four video game machines and stole money from each July 2. The loss is estimated at $100.

A resident of Buck Cash Drive reported to city police someone damaged her auto by throwing rocks at it while it was parked in the 200 block of E. Green St. on July 1. The damage was estimated at $150.

FIRE

* Westminster: Westminster responded to a call for a smoke detector sounding in a building in the 300 block of Bishop St. at 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Units were out for five minutes.
