Ward & Lambdin break ground for cellular store

Ward & Lambdin, Harford County real estate developers, have broken ground for Bell Atlantic Mobile's first communications store in the county.

Located at 2 Bel Air South Parkway, the 6,700-square-foot store will offer retail sales, service and installation of cellular phones, pagers and accessories.

The facility, which will be Bell Atlantic Mobile's 11th communications store in the Washington-Baltimore region, is expected to employ 14 people.

Completion of the project and the store's grand opening are scheduled for October.

The project is part of Bel Air South Commercial, a 16-acre Ward & Lambdin commercial development.

Gast Co. to handle sales at Gunpowder Farms

The Gast Construction Co. Inc., a custom homebuilder, will be handling sales of new homes at Gunpowder Farms, a 27.6-acre subdivision north of Laurel Brook Road and west of Friendship Road in Fallston.

Gunpowder Farms will be comprised of 18 lots, ranging in size from 1.10 to 1.88 acres. The wooded lots, surrounded primarily by Gunpowder State Park, are serviced by wells and septic systems.

Prices for a lot and home will start in the high $200,000s.
