STOLEN CAR TRY/ARRESTS: Northeastern District -- Three teen-age boys were arrested Tuesday after attempting to steal a 1994 Hyundai from the 4800 block of Bowleys Lane. After being charged with attempted auto theft, the youths were released to their parents.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Three men entered the home of an elderly resident of the 5000 block of Orville Ave. Tuesday while posing as members of a homeowners association and stole cash and property, all valued at $1,000. Later, police arrested one suspect and were seeking two others.

ROBBERY TRY/ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 4100 block of Kathland Ave. was in the 3300 block of Garrison Boulevard Monday when she was stopped by a man who asked if she had any money. When she said she had none, the man struck her with his fist and fled. The woman was taken to Sinai Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 3400 block of Dupont Ave. was exiting his apartment Tuesday morning when a man called to him. When the victim stopped, the man shot him in the upper right chest before escaping. The victim was listed in good condition at Sinai Hospital.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2400 block of N. Charles St. Tuesday through a rear window after cutting a screen and stole a telephone, stereo equipment and a compact disc player, all reportedly valued at more than $500.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A burgundy 1992 Plymouth with Maryland tags SHF 716 was stolen from Maryland Reproductions in the 2200 block of N. Charles St. Tuesday.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A two-door white 1992 Honda with Maryland tags APX 434 was stolen Tuesday from the 2800 block of Guilford Ave.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A blind and deaf man was walking in the 3100 block of Greenmount Ave. Tuesday after cashing a check at a nearby bank when a woman who appeared to be assisting him stole his money and fled.

Baltimore County

STOLEN CAR: Parkville Precinct -- A 1991 Honda Accord with Maryland tags ZAN 625 was stolen Tuesday from the first block of Eastford Court.

CAR THEFT TRY: Towson Precinct -- Someone attempted to steal a 1987 Honda Accord from the 100 block of Overbrook Road Tuesday by tampering with the ignition.

BURGLARY: Wilkens Precinct -- A VCR valued at more than $300 was stolen from a house in the 4000 block of Twin Circle Way by someone who entered by removing a window screen.
