Suspect sought in stabbing, robbery of Jessup man

Howard County police are looking for a man who stabbed and robbed a 25-year-old Jessup man as he walked along Route 1 in Elkridge Monday morning.

John H. Ball, of the 7900 block of Old Jessup Road, was driven to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he was treated and released.

Mr. Ball told police he was walking on Route 1 near Cedar Avenue about 12:45 a.m. when a man approached, attacked him and took an undisclosed amount of money.

* Ellicott City: 9900 block of Old Mill Road: Vandals damaged a resident's mailbox and uprooted flowers last Wednesday, police said.
