Briefly

Stanton H. Neumann, a resident of Lutherville and assistant principal at Towson High School, completed the Western States 100-Miler on June 25 in 29 hours, 36 minutes. Neumann, who also has run the Kentucky 50-miler, the John F. Kennedy 50-miler and the Strolling Jim 40-miler, has run more than 20 marathons. . . . The Road Runners Club of America has been honored by the National Park Service for its help in maintaining its parks. The RRCA raised more than $8,000 for a year-round, handicapped-accessible water fountain on the Mount Vernon Trail.
