SHOOTING: Central District -- A 16-year-old city youth was standing outside a carryout with several other people in the 300 block of W. Baltimore St. around 2 a.m. today when an occupant of a passing white car, possibly an Acura, fired a shot that struck the youth in the left side of the face. The victim was taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital. His condition was not available. The car was being sought.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Property valued at nearly $800 was stolen from the garage at Mobil Auto in the 4100 block of Aquarium Place over the weekend by someone who entered through a door.

STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1989 Acura Legend with Maryland tags BKS 436 was stolen from the 5700 block of Bland Ave. Monday.

STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- Someone stole a 1987 Hyundai Excel with Maryland tags AJJ 698 from the 2300 block of Tioga Parkway Sunday.

SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- A pizza deliveryman was in the 6200 block of Cross Country Boulevard Monday when an occupant of a passing Ford Escort fired a shot at him. The deliveryman reportedly was not hit.

SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- A woman was shot at the corner of Hollins and N. Pulaski streets around 3:30 a.m. today and ran into the emergency room at nearby Bon Secours Hospital in the 2000 block of W. Baltimore St., where she received treatment and her condition was listed as serious. At the shooting scene, police found three shell casings from a semi-automatic handgun. A suspect was taken by police to the hospital for possible identification.

ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 400 block of S. Pulaski St. received injuries to his head and neck when a cherry bomb someone placed on his window sill Monday night exploded, showering the occupant with glass.

Baltimore County

ARSON/ARREST: Essex Precinct -- Police arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with an apartment fire in the first block of Shawgo Court that was set when someone dropped a sparkler inside the mail slot of the front door. The sparkler set fire to curtains attached to the door and spread to a room. Damage was said to be moderate and no injuries were reported.

STOLEN CAR: Woodlawn Precinct -- A red 1992 Honda Accord with Maryland tags ACJ 229 was stolen from the 2400 block of Molton Way over the weekend.
