THEFT: Northeastern District -- Someone entered a vehicle parked in the 4600 block of Findley Ave. Tuesday and stole an AM-FM stereo receiver, cassette player, amplifier and other items, all valued at more than $700.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed Cherry's liquors in the 4600 block of Harford Road of an undisclosed sum of money Tuesday.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Power tools valued at $250 were stolen from a van in the 2500 block of Harford Road Tuesday.

SHOOTING: Southern District -- Two men were arguing in the 1000 block of Hollins St. Tuesday night when one of them left and returned with a handgun. The gunman shot the other man in the face, the bullet nearly striking the victim's left eye. The gunman escaped. The victim was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was listed in critical condition.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 1600 block of Vincent Court was in the 1600 block of N. Payson St. Monday when a man stole her purse reportedly containing a small sum of money and a checkbook.

ROBBERY/ARREST: Western District -- A man stole a woman's purse in the 1300 block of W. Baltimore St. Monday and was chased down by witnesses who held him for police.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Property valued at nearly $800 was stolen from a house in the 3500 block of Beech Ave. Sunday by someone who reportedly entered with a key.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A four-door 1987 Oldsmobile with Maryland tags YRC 053 was stolen from the first block of E. 22nd St. Tuesday.

BANK ROBBERY: Woodlawn Precinct -- A man robbed the Bank of Baltimore in the 8500 block of Liberty Road of an undisclosed sum of money Tuesday after giving a teller two notes, one demanding money and the other saying he had a bomb. No bomb was displayed and the man escaped on foot.

OFFICERS ASSAULTED/ARREST: North Point Precinct -- A man was arrested Tuesday when he attempted to assault three officers in the lobby of the precinct station. As the man swung his fists and challenged the officers, one of them sprayed him with pepper mace, causing him to be subdued without injury to the officers. Charged with assault was Billy Joe Perdue, 41, of the 3800 block of North Point Road. The man entered the station looking for a belt buckle he believed was at the station.
