Light rail rider faces drug charge

Drug charges were filed Tuesday against a light rail passenger.

Police working the light rail detail asked a woman to get off the train at the Cromwell-Glen Burnie Station after she could not produce a fare ticket, police said, then searched her and found cocaine and narcotics paraphernalia.

Sherri Adrian Herbert, 27, of the first block of 11th Ave. N.W. in Glen Burnie, was charged with possession of cocaine.

* Brooklyn Park: A man ran into the One Price Clothing store in the 500 block of Ritchie Highway Tuesday afternoon, stole 20 T-shirts worth $140 and escaped.

* Arundel Hills: Someone did $3,000 worth of damage to a bulldozer and an excavator at a sand and gravel pit in the 6900 block of Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd. between Monday evening and 6 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

* Pleasantville: Someone stole a computer, a scale and a monitor worth $1,900 Sunday morning from Professional Service Industries in the 800 block of Barkwood Road.
