Police find gun in car, arrest 3 men

June 17, 1994

Three men were arrested Monday night after police stopped their car near Burns Crossing Road and found a handgun inside, county police said.

The car had been heading east on Route 32 at 9:40 p.m. when an officer pulled it over because it lacked license tags, police said. The officer ordered the three passengers out of the car, then searched the vehicle.

Police said the officer found a loaded, blue-steel Unique Armes .380-caliber semiautomatic handgun and, in a small storage compartment under the steering wheel, a full magazine of ammunition. Three more .380-caliber rounds were found during a search of one of the suspects at the Western District station, police said.

Charged with transporting a handgun in a vehicle were Victor Gloria, 19, of the 3400 block of Andrew Court in Laurel; Ernest Bacon, 23, of the 13000 block of Old Stagecoach Road in Laurel; and Arvine Kelvano Queen, 23, of the 200 block of Bowie Avenue in Annapolis, police said.
