SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- A policeman shot a man in the 2700 block of W. North Ave. while attempting to arrest him for possession of an assault pistol and drugs around 2:30 a.m. today. The officer, Thomas Mistysyn, was not injured. Police said the officer shot the unidentified man at least twice in the chest with his semi-automatic handgun during a struggle for the suspsect's gun. The man was listed in critical condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Details of the incident were not available.

DOUBLE SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- Two men were shot Sunday afternoon in the 1600 block of N. Rosedale St. and were each taken by ambulance to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. One of the men was shot in the right leg and was listed in good condition. The other man was shot in the upper torso and leg and was listed in serious condition. No arrest had been made and police knew of no motive for the shootings.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Southwestern District -- Police arrested a man who entered a house in the 1600 block of Inverness Ave. through a rear door Sunday and stole a refrigerator valued at $100. The man was being held at the police station pending theft and burglary charges.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Police were seeking the driver of a white Honda following the shooting Sunday night of two men in the 800 block of N. Fremont Ave. One of the victims fell in the 800 block of Harlem Ave., where he was found by police. Both men were taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

SHOOTING: Eastern District -- A man walking in the 2000 block of Jefferson St. was shot in the right leg by another man Sunday night. The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital and was listed in good condition.

SHOOTING: Eastern District -- The driver of a black 1989 Acura was being sought following the shooting of a man in the 1500 block of Barclay St. Sunday night. The victim was shot in the foot and treated at a hospital. A suspect named "Pee Wee" is being sought.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Cockeysville Precinct -- Two men with silver-colored handguns robbed the Wendy's restaurant in the 9800 block of York Road Sunday night and escaped with an undisclosed sum of money. The men entered the restaurant shortly after 9 p.m. and forced the manager and another employee to remove the money from at least two cash registers.

ESCAPEE: Woodlawn Precinct -- A man who was a patient at the Clifton T. Perkins State Hospital for more than 15 years and under treatment for sex offenses against children walked away from a half-way house in the 6000 block of Winding Way Sunday. Police said Kenneth E. Muth, 52, was reported missing around 9 p.m. Sunday.

THEFTS: Garrison Precinct -- Over the weekend, several cars parked on Wood Valley, Stevenson and Hillside roads were broken into and property of unknown value stolen. In the same area, located near the Beltway, several attempted auto thefts and attempted thefts from autos also were reported.
