ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 1100 block of W. Ostend St. was robbed of her purse containing $40 by a man in the 600 block of Poplar Grove St. Thursday.

SHOOTING: Western District -- An 18-year-old resident of the 1200 block of W. Lombard St. was today listed in critical condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center after being shot in the chest and left hand in the 1000 block of W. Fayette St. The shooting occurred after the victim and his girlfriend argued over property. The woman left the scene and returned with her brother, who shot the victim. No arrest had been made.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A cellular phone was stolen from a 1989 Toyota Camry parked in the 1500 block of Lochwood Road.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Nearly $1,000 was stolen from the nightstand in the bedroom of a house in the 500 block of E. 30th St. Thursday by someone who entered the home through a window.

THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered the back yard of a house in the 3300 block of Hickory Ave. Thursday and stole an above-ground swimming pool ladder valued at nearly $80.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A TV and VCR, all valued at $400, were stolen from a house in the 3500 block of Sweetair Road Thursday by someone who entered through a window.

THEFT: Northern District -- A man who entered Sinai Hospital in the 2400 block of W. Belvedere Ave. seeking the methadone clinic Thursday entered an office and stole $20 from a hospital employee's wallet.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Three sweatsuits valued at more than $500 were stolen from a home in the 4600 block of Lanier Ave.

ROBBERY/ARRESTS: Garrison Precinct -- Two Woodlawn-area teen-agers were tracked-down by a K-9 officer and her dog, following an armed robbery at an ATM at the Maryland National Bank in the 7000 block of Liberty Road Thursday night. After robbing a woman of $20 at gunpoint, one of the teens pointed the .25 caliber handgun at her and pulled the trigger three times, but the gun failed to fire. The woman flagged-down Officer Thomas Reagan, who broadcast their description. From the robbery scene, the suspects were tracked a half-mile through a wooded area by K-9 Officer Linda Mabry, who, together with other officers, arrested them on St. Luke's Lane near an apartment complex and recovered the fully-loaded gun and the woman's money. Robbery, attempted murder, assault and weapon charges were pending against the suspects, both of whom are 17.

ROBBERY: Wilkens Precinct -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed Morgan's Crown service station in the 4300 block of Leeds Ave. early today of more than $100. The men drove off in a dark blue or black Ford Thunderbird with Maryland tags YVX 025.
