TC P BOYS COACH OF THE YEAR * Freddie Hendricks, Mervo -- After watching his four relay teams sweep in the Baltimore City and regional championships,

* Toni Flemming, Woodlawn, Jr. -- Flemming was first in Balti

more County and the region in the 100 hurdles and second in the county and first in the regions in the 300 hurdles.

Alisha McClinton, Perry Hall, Fresh. -- McClinton was the Baltimore County and regional champ in the long jump and was a county champ in the 100. McClinton was third in the 100 in the region.

* Gina Rozier, Poly, Sr. -- Rozier won the Baltimore City and region crowns in the shot put and placed third in that event at the 4A states -- the latter with an area-best toss of 35-2. Rozier was a discus runner-up in the city and won that event at the regionals.

* Christina Stansberry, Dunbar, Jr. -- Stansberry clocked 58.6 to win the Baltimore City crown in the 400 and was a city runner-up in the 100 hurdles. At the regionals, Stansberry won the 400 and the 100 hurdles and anchored the winning 400 and 1,600 relay teams.

* Janel Stewart, Northern, Soph. -- Stewart beat Western's Tamara Laing, an eventual 4A regional champ, to win the Baltimore City title in the 200. Stewart also won the city's 100 over two Western runners and anchored Northern's winning 800 relay team in the city meet.

Janee Ward, Western, Jr. -- Ward leaped 34-1 to win the Baltimore City triple jump crown and was a member of the Doves' winning 400 and 1,600 relay squads at the city meet. Ward also captured the regional crown in the triple jump.

PICKING THE TEAM

The 1994 All-Baltimore City/Baltimore County Track and Field Team was selected by Lem Satterfield after consultation with staff writers and county coaches.
