Passing storm disrupts power in Clarksville area

June 08, 1994

Power to about 1,000 Baltimore Gas & Electric Co. customers in the Clarksville area was briefly disrupted last night by a storm passing through the area.

Chuck Rayburn, a BGE spokesman, said that the storm struck about 10:15 p.m., causing the outages but no emergencies.

Power was restored to all but 15 customers in the affected area by 11:30 p.m., he said, and service was expected to be restored to the remaining few before dawn.

Scattered outages also were reported along Frederick Road in Baltimore and along the Liberty Road corridor in Baltimore County around 11:30 p.m., Mr. Rayburn said. He said about 150 customers lost power in those areas.
