The man about Toddlin' Town

Achieved legislative renown

But when grand jury dockets

Checked out Rosty's pockets,

His ways and his means

brought him down.

Watkins' friendship with

Clinton was sturdy

But you'd think before even

the third tee

He'd be quite aware

Of what got him there:

A duly unauthorized birdie.

Some lawmakers, soon alumni,

To the sector called private will hie

After having their fill

Of Capitol Hill

And the best perks our money

can buy.

With a seat on the high court to filla,

Clinton sensed Babbitt going

So a spat to avert,

He served the dessert --

Who doesn't like Breyer's vanilla?
