BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 2500 block of Arunah Ave. yesterday and stole a videocassette recorder valued at $1,000 and a duffel bag valued at $20.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A woman was robbed of $340 in cash by someone who approached her at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Cumberland Street about 1 p.m. yesterday. The robber pointed a handgun at the victim, took the money and fled on foot.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke through a window and entered a home in the 2400 block of Lauretta Ave. and stole an unknown quantity of frozen meat from the refrigerator.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A man walking along the 1000 block of N. Charles St. reported that someone sprayed him with chemical Mace and stole the Sony radio worth $375 that he was carrying yesterday. The victim was treated at Maryland General Hospital.

THEFT: Central District -- Fire department officials told police that someone sneaked into the fire station in the 400 block of W. North Ave. while firefighters were away on an emergency call and stole three cable television converter boxes valued at $25 each.

ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Two men reported that while they were standing in the 2300 block of E. Lanvale St., they were approached by a burgundy Oldsmobile shortly after 4 p.m. yesterday and that someone in the car pointed a handgun at them and robbed them of a total of $237.

PURSE-SNATCHING: Eastern District -- A woman reported that someone ran up behind her late yesterday afternoon as she was getting out of a taxicab in the 300 block of E. 22nd St. and snatched her purse and a blank money order worth $300.

Baltimore County

ASSAULT/STABBING: North Point Precinct -- A man was stabbed in the elbow during a fight in a residence in the 2600 block of Sparrows Point Road yesterday. The victim was treated at Franklin Square Hospital Center.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: North Point Precinct -- A storage shed at a property in the 8100 block of Dogwood Drive was broken into, and a red and white Yamaha motorcycle stolen. The break-in and theft were discovered yesterday morning.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Essex Precinct -- A total of 27 cars and trucks parked along the 900, 1000 and 1100 blocks of Marlyn Ave. were scratched by someone using some type of metal object. Police said damages were estimated at $8,100.
