1.Mount Bay Homes is continuing its grand opening of the Brandywine model from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the Village of Painter's Mill in Owings Mills in Baltimore County, where the company is offering four different homes on one-sixth-acre lots.

The Brandywine can be built as a three-bedroom home with 1,586 square feet of finished living space for $180,770. Or you can choose to have four bedrooms and 2,119 square feet for $198,711.

In either version the foyer is flanked by the stairway on the right and the 15-by-13-foot living room on the left. There also is a 10-by-12-foot dining room, 9-by-12-foot kitchen with pantry, 7-by-14 breakfast nook, 12-by-15-foot family room and powder room.

Upstairs the master suite has a 15-by-12-foot bedroom with walk-in closet and a bath with dual vanities. In the larger Brandywine the fourth bedroom is 11 by 13 feet. Both houses have a full hall bath.

Other standard features include an unfinished basement, one-car garage, gas heat and hot water, smoke detection alarm system, ventilated closet shelving and wiring for telephones and TV outlets.

The sales office is open from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Take I-695 to I-795 North to south on Owings Mills Boulevard to a left on Red Run Boulevard to a right on Painter's Mill Road.

Pikeswood Village

2.Ryland Homes has opened a new section in Pikeswood Village in Randallstown in Baltimore County, where the company is offering two townhome models and 11 different single-family homes.

The least expensive home built at Pikeswood Village is the Braxton, a 1,125-square-foot townhome with a base price of $89,900. A 12-by-10-foot kitchen shares the front of the Braxton with the entry foyer and a coat closet. The rear of the home has an 18-by-15-foot living/dining room combination. First floor options include a fireplace and a powder room.

Buyers have the choice of having two or three bedrooms on the second floor. The master bedroom is 17-by-12-feet and the second bedroom is 17-by-9-feet. If a buyer chooses the optional second bath, each bedroom is 17-by-10-feet. In the three-bedroom layout the master bedroom is 17-by-9-foot.

The Jefferson sells for $90,900 and like the Braxton has 1,125 feet of finished living space. The 18-by-10 foot-kitchen has a more traditional location at the rear of the house. The front of the home has an 18-by-15-foot living/dining room, foyer and coat closet.

The upstairs layout and choices are identical to the Braxton.

The Whitman is one of the single-family homes Ryland builds at Pikeswood Village. It is a bilevel home with 1,160 square feet of living area and a base price of $137,900.

The entry level has a foyer, 13-by-13-foot great room and a 13-by-9-foot "country kitchen" with a pantry and space for a dining table.

Up a few steps to the sleeping level is a 13-by-13-foot master bedroom with walk-in closet, two additional bedrooms and a full bath. The laundry area is in the unfinished basement.

A two-story traditional, the Fenimore has a base price of $137,900 for 1,850 square feet of finished living space. The foyer is flanked by an 11-by-11-foot foyer on the left and an 11-by-11-foot dining room on the right. A 14-by-11-foot family room, 8-by-8-foot breakfast area, 10-by-9-foot kitchen with pantry and powder room complete the first floor.

The second floor has a 17-by-14-foot master bedroom with walk-in closet, two more bedrooms and a full bath.

Four bedrooms and two full baths are on the second floor of the Enterprise, a 1,980-square-foot, two-story which costs $158,900 with a one-car garage and a colonial facade. The master bedroom is 13-by-18-feet. It has a walk-in closet and dual vanities in the master bath.
