White Sox update

The White Sox helped the Orioles' cause as they rallied for three runs in the ninth inning Wednesday night, beating the New York Yankees, 5-4. The heart of that comeback was in the middle of the lineup with Frank Thomas, Julio Franco and Robin Ventura, who produced all five RBIs Wednesday night. Franco ranks second in the league with 54, and Thomas has 49 and Ventura 45. No other major-league club has three 40-RBI bats in the lineup. Thomas walked three times on Wednesday, raising his major-league-leading total to 55. Thomas, the American League Player of the Month for May, batted .452 with 12 homers, 28 RBIs, a .988 slugging percentage and .593 on-base percentage for that month. The White Sox took two of three against the Orioles on May 27-29.
