City police arrested a youth and were seeking at least three others in connection with the rape yesterday of a 14-year-old Carver High School student inside a school storage room.

Police said the girl was lured into the room around 1:30 p.m. by a teen-age boy on the pretense of retrieving some chairs.

It is believed the girl knew the boy, police said.

"When she entered the room," said a police officer, "the girl was grabbed from behind and thrown to the floor."

There, police said, the girl was raped by the boy and three other males, all reportedly juveniles, who were already in the room or came in when the girl entered.

During the attack, a teacher entered the room.

When the four attempted to flee, the teacher grabbed one of the males and held him for police.

The other three youths escaped.

It is believed their identities have been given to police.

Police said the girl was examined at the University of Maryland Medical Center and released.

Charged with rape and related charges and being held at the police station pending a bail hearing today is Ector Hendricks, 18, of the 2400 block of Pickering Drive.

Police said it was not immediately known if the accused is a student at Carver.
