Melba J. Young Ran clothing store

Melba J. Young, who operated a children's clothing store in the Baynesville area, died May 23 of heart failure at her apartment in the Kirkwood House on Loch Raven Boulevard. She was 81.

The former Melba J. Invernizzi had lived in the Cub Hill area for many years. A native of Somerville, Mass., she came to Baltimore as a child. She was a graduate of Seton High School. Twice widowed, she was married first to Robert J. Young and later to Harry J. Young. In the 1950s, she operated a children's clothing store on Joppa Road near Loch Raven Boulevard.

A memorial Mass was to be offered at 10 a.m. today at St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church, 9215 Old Harford Road.

She is survived by a stepson, J. Scott Young of San Jose, Calif.; a brother, retired District Judge Frederick W. Invernizzi of Baltimore; and many nieces and nephews.
