Tigers update

The Tigers, in last place in the AL East, would be in the middle of the AL West race despite unreliable starting pitching. Their rotation had a 6.38 ERA before last night's 5-1 win at Minnesota. . . . The Tigers took two of three from the Orioles at Tiger Stadium in April. . . . The road has not been kind to the Tigers, who have lost 15 of 20 away from home. . . . . Cecil Fielder (sore left shoulder) is expected to return to the lineup tonight. Fielder had started every game this season before being sidelined Friday. He leads the team with 34 RBIs, but has gone 13 games without a home run. . . . Two Tigers center fielders went on the disabled list in the same week: Eric Davis (pinched nerve, neck) and Milt Cuyler (dislocated right ring finger). Rookie Danny Bautista was recalled from Toledo on Thursday.
