Cincinnati Reds -- Signed OF/1B Kevin Maas to a Triple-A contract.

Cleveland Indians -- Purchased the contract of OF Ruben Amaro from Triple-A Charlotte. Optioned IF Herbert Perry to Charlotte. Recalled P Matt Turner from Charlotte and placed him on the 60-day DL.

Detroit Tigers -- Placed OF Milt Cuyler on the 15-day DL. Recalled OF Danny Bautista from Triple-A Toledo.

Florida Marlins -- Optioned IF Greg O'Halloran to Double-A Portland.

Milwaukee Brewers -- Activated OF Darryl Hamilton from the 15-day DL. Optioned OF Troy O'Leary to Triple-A New Orleans.

Saskatchewan Roughriders (CFL) -- Acquired slotback Rob Crifo from the Ottawa Rough Riders for future considerations.

Toronto Argonauts (CFL) -- Signed FB Duane Forde and CB Eddie Thomas. Released FB Lorne King.


International Tennis Federation -- Fined Andre Agassi $2,250 for an audible obscenity and verbal abuse of an umpire at the French Open.
