ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- One man smashed another in the face with a television set. The attack took place ZTC about 9:15 a.m. yesterday in a house in the 3200 block of Walbrook Ave.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- One woman hit another on the hip with a baseball bat in the 4300 block of Seminole Ave. about 1 a.m. yesterday.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone took a bundle of 45 copies of The Sunday Sun from the 2000 block of Edmondson Ave. between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. yesterday.

STABBING: Western District -- A woman cut a man on the right arm with a knife about 7:30 p.m. Saturday in an apartment in the 2300 block of Winchester St.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A man reported to police that someone he knows forced open the back door of his home in the 800 block of Druid Park Drive at about 9 a.m. Saturday and removed copper pipe.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered the garage in a home in the 2800 block of Whitney Ave between 1 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. yesterday and took a Craftsman tractor mower and two bags. The value of the loss was $2,300.

LARCENY: Northern District -- A 3-month-old Rottweiler dog was stolen from a home in the 2500 block of Park Heights Ave. between 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Friday, police said yesterday.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone removed tools from a home in the 3600 block of Edgegreen Ave. between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday. The value of the loss was $1,500.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- A man was seen by witnesses entering the front door of a home in the 3000 block of Thorndale Ave. at 9 p.m. Friday. No property was taken.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a home in the 2800 block of Shirley Ave. through a window at about 2:30 a.m. yesterday. No property was taken.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A man approached another man from behind in the 5100 block of Chalgrove Ave. at 5:50 p.m. yesterday, pointed an object in his back and demanded money. The victim surrendered $118.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered the shed of a home in the 6500 block of Western Run Drive between 8 a.m. May 12 and 10:30 a.m. May 13 and removed items valued at $380, police reported yesterday.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone broke into a building at the Community College of Baltimore, 2901 Liberty Heights Ave., through a window between 2 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. Saturday. The amount of loss was undetermined.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone threw a rock through the window of the Pager Store, in the 4100 block of Patterson Ave., between 4 p.m. Saturday and 1:10 a.m. yesterday, and entered the store. The loss was undetermined.

ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- A man told police that he was cut on the shoulder while he was standing in the 4200 block of Park Heights Ave. at 2:50 a.m. yesterday.

SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- Two men in a motor vehicle approached a man in the 3400 block of Dolfield Ave. at 1 a.m. yesterday. The victim began to run and was shot in the back by one of the men. His condition was unknown.

CUTTING: Northwestern District -- A man got into a fight with another man in the 3300 block of Spaulding Ave. at 8 a.m. yesterday when one man pulled out a knife and cut his adversary on the cheek.

ASSAULT: Southern District -- A man approached a woman in the 500 block of Otterbein St. at 11:50 a.m. Saturday.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered a home in the 200 block of Cherry Hill Road between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. yesterday and took a telephone and other property valued at $140.

LARCENY: Southern District -- A man returned to his car in the 1200 block of Glyndon Ave. at 8:30 a.m. yesterday, after being away from the vehicle for two hours, to find $950 worth of tools and golf clubs missing.
