Eight stakes winners are among 13 3-year-old fillies scheduled to vie in today's $200,000 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes, the Preakness eve feature at Pimlico.

The 70th running of the Grade II race has lured Forcing Bid, Alywow and Ask Shananie, all multiple stakes victors, for a 1 1/8 -mile test.

All three will carry extra weight, with Forcing Bid assigned 122 pounds, Alywow 119 and Ask Shananie 117. Premier Mombo, a stakes winner around two turns last September here, will also carry 117 pounds. All others get 114.

Forcing Bid has come from off the pace in her past two starts, winning the Grade III Busher Breeders' Cup at Aqueduct and the National Jockey Club Oaks at Sportsman's Park, both at 1 1/6 miles.

Alywow, a daughter of Alysheba, has taken stakes twice on turf, but is winless on dry tracks and only 1-for-4 on the main surface.

Ask Shananie is expected to improve coming off the grass after disappointing in the Lady Dean, won by Alywow. She scored an easy victory last month in the Bryn Mawr at Philadelphia Park and finished second to Forcing Bid in the Busher.

Premier Mombo has not won in eight consecutive starts.

Consideration is also expected for Flying in the Lane, with Chris McCarron aboard, speed horse Her Temper, winner of a Grade II event at Keeneland and ridden by Pat Day, and Calipha, another quick filly who won the Caesar's Wish Stakes at Pimlico by 9 1/2 lengths.

The other stakes winner is Simoom, who conquered Maryland-bred horses in the Politely two months ago.
